Hawkeye State Fire Safety Association
An ICC Chapter | Serving Iowa Since 1951
The Hawkeye State Fire Safety Association was organized in 1951 with a clear mission: to reduce the incidence and severity of fires in Iowa through education, training, and collaboration. As an official chapter of the International Code Council (ICC), we bring together fire service professionals, code officials, inspectors, industry experts, and safety advocates from across the state.
Our members are united by a shared commitment to life safety, fire prevention, and professional development. We provide a platform for education, promote best practices in fire code enforcement, and support ongoing training to help ensure that Iowa’s communities are protected by the highest standards in fire safety.
Through meetings, seminars, certification programs, and networking opportunities, we foster strong partnerships between public and private stakeholders. Whether you're a seasoned code official, a firefighter, a contractor, or someone just entering the field, the Hawkeye State Fire Safety Association is here to support your growth and keep Iowa safe.
Together, we’re building a safer future—one code, one training, and one community at a time.
